The Old Mackinac Point Lighthouse is part of the Michilimackinac State Park in the lower peninsula of Michigan on the shores of Lake Huron next to the Mackinac Bridge. It was established in 1889 and was a working lighthouse until 1957. The Mackinac Island State Park Commission bought the property in 1960 and restoration has been underway since 2000.

I have been wandering around with my camera for over 30 years. Everything interests me. Little tiny buds in the forest, vast panoramic landscapes, interesting old buildings, and silent snowy woods. I have had the honor of having a photo of Fort Michilimackinac in Mackinaw City, Michigan chosen for the December 2015 cover of Michigan History magazine. Indeed, as a life-long Michigander, in my portfolio you will find many images of our lovely Michigan shorelines, the Freighters that sail the Great Lakes, Michigan landmark locations such as Mackinac Island, Belle Isle, Greenfield Village, and more.
